29 Items I‘ve Worn The Most
Share

I have way too many clothes. Over the last 3 years, my closet has rapidly grown to a bloated, unmanageable, hypocritical mess. I feel incredibly blessed to get a lot of free shit, but it’s gotten the best of me, especially since moving into a bigger apartment. I went from having a carefully curated wardrobe to hoarding way too many items that would be better off in someone else’s hands. My goal for 2025 is twofold: a) cull my wardrobe by 50%, focusing on keeping the things I actually wear and b) find a new home for those clothes through thoughtful and charitable means. While the latter is in the works, I want to begin cataloguing the former.

I’m going to share the pieces that I’ve been getting the most wear out of, and hopefully some resonate with you. Think of this as a mini capsule wardrobe - nothing is particularly loud or outlandish, hence why it’s all gotten so much wear. I’ll run through outerwear, sweaters, shirts, jersey/fleece, bottoms, accessories, and footwear. Whether you go purchase one of these pieces yourself, or use it as inspiration in your 2nd hand hunting, I hope this serves you well. A lot of this shit is really expensive, don’t let that discourage you. You can find tons of stuff like this for 10-20% of the MSRP if you’re willing to look hard enough, be patient, and consider alternatives.

Outerwear

BRUT Wax Jacket

A cropped take on a super classic piece of outerwear, the Parisian boutique’s take on the Millerain wax jacket plays very well in my current wardrobe. Being 5’7, the cropped fit flatters me quite well. It’s constructed very well and features cool details like ribbed cuffs, white zipper tape, and back flap pockets.

Rocky Mountain Featherbed x Buck Mason Christy

I cannot stop wearing this thing. I’ve wanted a RMFB Christy for years now, and I think Buck Mason’s take is among the best. The cotton/nylon outer has a matte finish which pairs great with the contrast stitching and suede yoke. Functionally, the shearling collar completely negates the need for a scarf. There is cold/wind ingress due to the gaps in the snap-front closure, but we suffer for swag.

Todd Snyder Black Dylan Suede Jacket

This has been my go-to-going-out jacket for the last few months. On colder days I layer it under my black overcoat and it looks super chic. The fit is very flattering, the build quality is beyond solid, and it’s very easy to style. You can style it with everything from a chambray shirt to a black tie.

$998.00

HAVEN Condor Jacket

While I seldom wear a shell in the city, the Condor jacket from HAVEN has been an integral part of my ski outfit for the start of the 2024/25. I had one day at Big White that was all-day freezing rain, and this is the sole reason I stayed dry. They stopped making this jacket last year, but it seems they have some similar models on their website.

Vintage Northwest Territory Jacket

My favourite vintage find of 2024, this voluminous double-collar bomber I found on Etsy. The slate grey with charcoal accents hits like a Giorgio Armani runway piece, except I found this for under a hundred bucks. I’ve tried to find a similar example to no avail, but you may have better luck than me!
