One of the strongest assets in my summer artillery is a healthy stock of loose fitting, lightweight, easy to wear shirts. While the t-shirt has become the favourite of many, I find myself most comfortable and stylish when rocking a crispy button-up; to me a woven fabric wears a lot cooler than the heavier jersey that most tees are made of nowadays. While a short sleeve may be marginally cooler, I usually reach for a long-sleeve because I prefer the fit, and find it not that much warmer. If you think I’ve made a compelling case to try out some proper shirts for summer, I invite you to scroll down through my compilation of picks (along with some more affordable vintage options at the end).
