As you’re all too familiar with, we’re in the midst of an unending information crisis. For all of eternity we’ve thirsted after knowledge, unable to satiate our appetite for information until one day some jackass named Al Gore went and invented the internet (that was a joke). Before the internet, if your town didn’t have a shop that carried a certain brand, odds are you’d never hear of it let alone get your hands on it. Then Al Gore went and shot his interweb all over the planet. Ever since then, there exists an overwhelming cornucopia of beautiful things that are a real pain in the ass to keep track of.

So, for all you folks with real jobs, I’ve come to shoulder your burden. Please enjoy the ever-expanding encyclopedia of good goods, from clothes to footwear to watches to homeware and whatever else might pique my obsessive tendencies. If you’re after something and you don’t know where to find it, odds are it’s somewhere down below. And if I missed a good good, or I haven’t covered a category you want, ask and ye shall (maybe) receive. Bon appetit folks.

Technical Garments

These are brands with outdoor function at their core, whether it be through a heritage lens, or a spacecop superfreak lens.

And Wander - Founded by two Issey Miyake alumni, And Wander takes a more practical approach to technical garments when compared to their alma mater; but trust me it’s far from boring.

Crescent Down Works - A Seattle based down jacket company founded by Anne Michelson, who helped Eddie Bauer in testing the very first down coats ever made. Heritage based silhouettes entirely made in-house in Washington.

Colin Meredith - Inventive, technical, eponymous label based out of Vancouver, Canada. Colin’s years of experience pattern-making and experimenting have led to exciting collaborations and finally, his namesake line.

Daiwa Pier 39 - Created as a sub label of Japanese fishing equipment company Daiwa, they make fantastic contemporary outdoor gear. Common themes include muted earth tones, flat finishes, and roomy silhouettes

Gramicci - Mostly known for their well-priced, high quality climbing pants with a signature integrated nylon belt.
