Los Angeles City Guide
Interactive maps and detailed highlights on where to eat, shop, and sightsee around the City of Angels.
After my second trip to the City of Angels, I’ve gathered sufficient intel to drop my LA City Guide. Given the sheer sprawl of the city, and its dire lack of public transport, you’ll find this list concentrates itself around certain '“hotspots” such as West Hollywood, Silverlake, La Brea, Venice, and so on. As I continue to visit California’s biggest metropolis I plan on digging deeper, expanding this guide with more recommendations after every trip.
As is the case with all my guides I’m going to be focusing on material goods, in particular: boutiques, curated vintage, flea markets, restaurants/cafes, attractions, and architectural sites worth your time.
The Map(s):
In order to make it easy for everyone, I’ve built a number of interactive Google Maps lists you’ll be able to access via a link under each category. You can save these lists and use them to a) plan your trip out beforehand or b) be spontaneous and see what’s near you at any given time. In addition, I’ll be highlighting a few favourites in every category. These maps will cover the following topics.
Google Maps Lists (100+ Spots)
🛍️ Boutiques — 25+ locations
🧶 2nd Hand Shopping — 25+ locations
🛒 Flea Markets — 7+ locations
🍔 Food — 25+ locations
📍 Attractions/Architecture — 20+ locations
Don’t forget to check out the other city guides, and stay tuned for more!
Disclaimer: by offering you these links, there’s nothing I can do to prevent you from sharing these to other people. This Substack is how I make a living, and I’d like to continue doing that by maintaining the exclusivity of the resources I offer you folks. If you send one of these maps to a close friend, that’s not a huge deal, but please refrain from posting these links to social media, Reddit, or travel sites. Thank you <3.
